CFSCV Coaching and Programming
CrossFit SCV is built on the concept that our coaches must embody the principles that they are teaching. Our coaches are all athletes and have their own specialties - what they have in common is their desire to train and push their athletes to the limit of what they think is possible.
CFSCV programming will consist of standard CF classes and the "CFE" class which is a longer conditioning class, often done in a team format and always interesting and fun. All Classes will have a maximum coach to athlete ratio - there will never be more than ten athletes for each coach at any given time. You will never feel "lost" during a class session because we will be there helping you every step of the way.
Curtis competes locally and specializes in training Endurance sports and marathon programming. Curtis has his level 1 CrossFit Instructor, level 2 CrossFit trainer and CrossFit Endurance Certificates as well as the Pose Method Running Technique Specialist certification.
Christy can run. She has qualified for the Boston Marathon three times and run the race twice. Christy can also WOD. Christy was in top 1% of her age group in 2015 and made the CrossFit Games Masters Qualifier. In 2016 Christy won the NorCal Masters, competing against top ranked Games competitors and finished 28th in the Masters Qualifier Regional. Christy has her level 1 Crossfit Instructor and CrossFit Endurance Certificates.
Coach Jaime has been involved in CrossFit for years, first as a means of training to prepare him for professional hockey, now as a professional coach. Coach Jaime has years of experience and is a valuable addition to the CFSCV coaching staff. Jaime has his Level 1 CrossFit Instructor and Level 2 CrossFit trainer Certificates.
COACH JUSTIN W.
Justin enjoys picking up heavy things and putting them down. He enjoys seeing athletes excel and likes to push them past their comfort zones. Justin likes to compete locally and has his CrossFit Level 1 Certificate.
Tyler started CrossFit in 2014 as a way to get himself back in shape. Shortly after that he realized that he had found a strong passion for helping others as a trainer. Seeing athletes improve themselves daily is what keeps him motivated to better himself as an athlete and especially as a coach. Tyler has his CrossFit Level 1 Certificate.
Andrea is a former collegiate athlete (basketball) who found CrossFit in 2014. Andrea is all energy and enjoys motivating and challenging others to reach their full potential. It is not possible to not have fun in Coach Andreas Class! Andrea currently holds a CrossFit level 1 Certificate.
